Annual Presentation Evening

Dear Parents and Swimmers,

I am delighted to be able to confirm the arrangements for our annual presentation evening, which will be held on Saturday 31st January 2026 at Main Hall, Priory Street Centre, 15 Priory Street, York, YO1 6ET. The nearest main car park is Nunnery Lane, Nunnery Lane car park – Parking directory – City of York Council

To help with numbers, all those attending the presentation evening will be required to purchase tickets in advance. Tickets cost £5 each (plus a 15p booking fee per ticket) and are available now through the following link:https://www.trybooking.com/uk/FVHX

The number of tickets available is limited to 150 so please purchase your tickets early to avoid disappointment.

This year we have decided that rather than have a buffet where everyone brings food along, we will have a fish and chip van available for food. This is included in the ticket price.

The food choice will be fish, sausage, fishcake or veggie burger with chips and peas, curry sauce or gravy!

Although there isn’t a bar at the venue this time, you are able to bring along any drinks of your choice- so please bring plenty for your family group to last the evening!!

The evening will commence at 19:00 with the presentation ceremony at around 20:00, and then the disco until 22:00.Last years presentation evening was a fantastic event and it was clear to see how much the swimmers enjoyed celebrating their achievements together! The format of the presentation ceremony will be similar: Our 2025/26 Club Champions will be acknowledged with the presentation of a top boy and top girl award in each of the age groups in which medals were awarded at the recent Club Championships. In addition, based on efforts made throughout 2025, a collection of Individual Achievement, Improvement, Effort and Commitment and Recognition Awards will be presented to nominated swimmers from every training squad and our teaching section. Last, but not least, the outstanding swim of 2025 will be celebrated, and our 2025 swimmer of the year will be crowned.

We hope that families from across the Club will attend and support the evening, to make it as prestigious and enjoyable event as it has always been in the past!”
