Yorkshire Sprints and Teams – the Roll of Honour
With the top ten fastest swimmers in each event qualifying for the Final, it is pleasing to report that out of the 88 swims, YCBC swimmers achieved a pleasing total of 49 Personal Bests and 14 achieved a fast enough swim to take part in a Final of their respective events. Well done everyone!

Yorkshire Sprints and Teams 2014
As is the case every year, the Ponds Forge pool arena was packed out and people queued all around the foyer as everyone in the family comes to see their son or daughter swim in the 50m sprints for all ages from 9 through to 90 – well actually 43 was the oldest swimmer in this year’s programme.

Distance Time Trial

Yorkshire Championships 2014
Over the weekends of 15th / 16th and 22nd / 23rd February 2014, the distance events (100m and longer) of the annual Yorkshire Swimming Association Championships were held at the John Charles Centre for Sport in Leeds. As one of the leading independent clubs in the county, York City Baths Club was well represented by 31 swimmers across all age groups.

Welsh Summer Nationals
This year we are hoping to plan a trip to Swansea to compete in the British Gas Swim Wales Summer Nationals. This competition is open to any swimmer who has not qualified for the British Gas Age Group or Youth/Senior Championships. Swimmers must be aged 10 years and upwards (age as at 8th August 2014).
