Nathan Carrington, Development Squad swimmer, made his debut at GB Deaf National Championships at the national swimming centre in Loughborough. After an amazing day of competition Nathan walked away with 2 golds and 1 silver.

31 YCBC swimmers competed in the Rotherham Metro A Grade Spring LC meet held in Sheffield last weekend, bringing home a grand total of 29 medals, (6 gold, 9 silver and 13 bronze). A massive congratulations to York City Baths Club swimmer Harry Devlin for his selection to the British Swimming Team heading to European Junior Swimming Championships in Israel, between 28th of June and 2nd of July.

As you may know, the teaching of our swimming lessons at York City Baths Club is provided on solely on a voluntarily basis by our qualified teachers, assisted by poolside helpers. Presently, there is a need for additional teaching and lifeguarding provision.

There was some exceptional swimming from several of our younger swimmers in Development, County and Regional Squad at the Richmond “Off the Blocks” Gala last weekend.

YCBC masters swimmer Emma Wills broke three records whilst competing in just two events earlier this month!

Four YCBC swimmers were part of a Yorkshire team that finished runners up in the 2016 ASA National Masters and Senior Inter Counties Competition.

The ASANER Winter Short Course Championships were held at The Aquatics Centre, Sunderland, over the weekend of 5th/6th November. The event was split into two: the Age Group Championships; and the Youth and Senior Age Championships.

YCBC Masters swimmers bought home eight medals from the ASA National Masters Short Course Championships, held in Sheffield on 28th – 30th October 2016.

Yorkshire have won the ASA National County Team Championships for the first time in 14 years under the guidance of a York City Baths Club coach as Team Manager. The victorious team also included two YCBC swimmers.
