Jason Robson was recently selected to swim for the North East at the English Schools’ Swimming Association (ESSA) 66th Inter-Division Championships, which were held in Leeds over the weekend of the 3rd/4th October 2015.
Jason competed in two events: the Junior Boys 200m IM, in which he won a Bronze medal in a time of 2:27.02; and the Junior Boys 400m IM, in which he was placed 4th in a time of 5:11.65. Both times were very good PBs. The North East won the overall competition.
This was Jason’s first taste of success at a national level, including staying overnight at a hotel with the rest of the team. Other team members included swimmers who have recently represented GB at Junior and Youth championships.
The Club would like to extend their warmest congratulations to Jason for a tremendous achievement.
ESSA comprises 8 divisions: East; Midlands; London; North East; North West; South East; South West; and West Midlands.
