February 2026- Yorkshire Championships
than 50 medals at the Yorkshire Swimming Association County Championships – cementing
their position as one of the strongest swimming squads in the area.Under new Head Coach, Tom Rhodes, the squad bettered their previous record by
swimming 250 personal best times across three weekends of competition. YCBC swimmers
reached 119 finals and claimed 51 medals in the process.There were golds for Stan Sawyer (9), Simon Robson (2), Morgan Burns, Annabel Edwards
and Emilia Roberton.
Silver medals were claimed by Morgan Burns (7), Jessica Heaton (3), Samantha Taylor (2),
Olivia Allen (2), Macee Hudson, Simon Robson, Evie Wilkinson and Stan Sawyer.
And there were bronze medal swims for Morgan Burns (3), Jessica Heaton (3), Evie
Wilkinson (2), Olivia Allen (2), Annabel Edwards, Daniel Tew, Eva Benson, Simon Robson,
Abigail James and Charlie Rodgers.
In the final events of the Championships, the relays brought more silverware. In the girls
13/14-year-old category, Jessica Heaton, Lilly Wilkinson, Olivia Allen and Macee Hudson
won silver in the 4×50 freestyle relay, and Stan Sawyer, Zach Fidan, Daniel Tew and James
Layton claimed bronze medals in both the 4×50 freestyle and 4×50 medley relays in the boys
15/16 age group.
