The National and Regional Squad swimmers were in action over the weekend of the 11th & 12th January at the City of Sunderland New Year Meet. This presented the first long course racing of the season for the YCBC swimmers.

The purpose of the meet was to practice long course race strategies for the upcoming Yorkshire Championships in February and the upcoming qualifying window for the summer nationals which will open in March.
