A massive congratulations to York City Baths Club swimmer Harry Devlin for his selection to the British Swimming Team heading to European Junior Swimming Championships in Israel, between 28th of June and 2nd of July.
I genuinely couldn’t believe I had been selected for the Europeans. As soon as I received the email my jaw dropped and I was absolutely buzzing. This is the opportunity I’ve finally been waiting for; to get the chance to show what I am truly capable of. I couldn’t have achieved any of this without the support of my family, my York team mates and their families. I would also like to thank the coaches who have dedicated their time and efforts into coaching me, which has helped me to achieve my goals. Bring on Israel!
Harry Devlin
Harry’s European Junior selection is a fantastic reward for the full commitment he has given to his swimming training in the last year. This achievement should motivate and inspire the YCBC swimming community to continue to work hard, keep progressing and in the future they may follow in Harry’s footsteps. Harry now has 9 weeks of tough training ahead in the pool and gym before he travels to Israel for the European Juniors.
