Four York City Baths Club masters swimmers competed in the Yorkshire Open Masters Championships, held on 9th May 2015 at the John Charles Centre in Leeds, wining a total of 12 medals between them.
Emma Wills continued her winning form from last year by securing gold medals in all six of her individual races in the 35 to 39 years age group. Emma swam personal best times in the 50m and 100m freestyle and the 50m backstroke.
David Rhodes competed in the 50 to 54 years age group in his first swimming gala. David won a gold medal in the 100m breaststroke, silver in the 50m breaststroke and was delighted to avoid being disqualified!
Michelle Jenks swam three personal best times in winning the 25-29 years 200m freestyle and finishing third in the 100m individual medley.
The three swimmers combined with Andrea Mao to compete in the mixed 120 years and over 4X50m freestyle and medley relays. The team finished third in both events.
