16 swimmers from National and Regional Squad competed at the Swim England North East Regional Age Group Championships at Leeds over the weekends of 19th-20th & 26th-27th May.

The YCBC swimmers produced some very strong morning heat swims which were required in order to advance to the afternoon finals. It was very encouraging to see four of the finalists making their regional finals debut at this meet. It was excellent to see the swimmers stepping up to the challenge for the finals with 60% PBs and 66% faster than the morning heats.
