Following over two months of tough competition at Level 1 meets between the 22nd of March and 27th of May the National Qualifying Window has now closed. The national qualifiers list has now been published and I’m delighted to report on the successes from our YCBC swimmers.

Thirteen YCBC swimmers have qualified for individuals summer meets this year with a cumulative total of 35 swims, 19 in the British Nationals and 16 in the English Nationals.

This year also represents the first time that YCBC has qualified teams into the British Nationals in 7 years with the club last qualifying in 2012. Four teams will be heading to Glasgow with the girls competing in the 100m Free and IM teams and the boys competing in the 100m and 200m Free teams. This is a brilliant achievement for the club and demonstrates the strength and depth in the current group of swimmers.

The British Summer Nationals take place from Tuesday 23rd July to Sunday 28th July at the Tollcross International Centre in Glasgow.

The Swim England Summer Nationals take place from Wednesday 31st July to Sunday 4th August at Ponds Forge.
