I am pleased to report on a successful Yorkshire Championships 2019 for the YCBC swimmers after three weekends of competition in February, two weekends at Leeds and one weekend of Sheffield.
There were some excellent performances from the swimmers in the heats with almost 70% of the swims as a long course best time. There were 251 swims in which the swimmers were eligible to make a final and almost 50% of those swims qualified for a final.
The swimmers stepped up to the challenge of the finals having had little recovery time after their heat swims with 58% of the swims faster in the final. The club won 31 medals, 27 individual medals and 4 team medals.
Well done to all those who competed at the Yorkshire Championships.
