Swimmers from all six of training squads at YCBC were in action at the Rotherham Metro A/B Graded meet over the weekend of the 6th-7th July in Sheffield.

The focus of the meet for most of the swimmers was to finish their season on a high note and produce best time performances. The swimmers who have qualified for Nationals were also competing and used the meet to help with the final preparations leading into their end of season meets in late July and early August.

The team were very busy over the weekend, racing in 440 swims and recorded 377 PBs which equates to 86%. The level of racing was very consistent between Saturday and Sunday with an even PB rate of 85% on Saturday and 86% on Sunday. YCBC won over 150 medals during the weekend with 103 A Grade medals and 56 B Grade medals. York were the runners up in the Top Club award.

There were also a significant number of swimmers particularly from Development, County and Regional Squad who achieved their Winter Yorkshire Times, many of these are first time qualifiers.
