On Wednesday 26th June at St Peter’s School, YCBC hosted a duel meet against Tadcaster Swimming Club. A number of very strong individual and team performances helped to seal a victory for the York swimmers with 167 points against Tadcaster’s 102 points.

The format of the meet included a mixture of individual and relay events in three separate age groups (12 years and under, 13/14, 15 years and over). Each club selected two individuals for each race and one team for the relays.

York won 5 out of the 7 relays events and had 18 1st place finishes out of the 24 individual races. There were a number of best times in the individual events which will give the swimmers some confidence leading into the end of season meets at Rotherham and the Nationals in July and August.
