The Youth and Senior swimmers (aged 15 and over) from the National Squad competed in the Swim England North East Regionals at Sheffield on the 5th and 6th May.

The meet was highly competitive with GB international senior and junior swimmers in attendance making it a challenge to reach the finals in the afternoon.

The YCBC swimmers had a strong weekend with a number of performance improving on their National Ranking and making the provisional qualifying list. 50% of the swims were seasons bests and 38% lifetime bests.

Three YCBC swimmers qualified for six finals, with Neola Thorpe on the podium taking a Bronze medal in the 50 Fly. The finalists showed fight and determination to either hold or improve on their position from heats to finals.
