19 YCBC Swimmers from National and Club Squad competed in the Swim England North East Regionals at Sheffield on the 4th and 5th of May
The swimmers raced at a high standard over the course of the weekend with many performances that have improved on the swimmers national ranking. There were 69 individual swims with 26 personal best performances.
Strong start for YCBC swimmers to the national qualifying window
During the last two weekend’s in March, the YCBC swimmers from National and Regional Squad have competed at two national qualifying meets.
YCBC Swimmers hit the Jorvik Spring Festival
Swimmers from five of the training squads competed at the Jorvik Spring Festival at Leeds on Sunday 10th March. Despite chilly water temperatures of 24c, the swimmers showed their resilience and posted some strong performances.

YCBC swimmers hit the 2019 Yorkshire Championships
I am pleased to report on a successful Yorkshire Championships 2019 for the YCBC swimmers after three weekends of competition in February, two weekends at Leeds and one weekend of Sheffield.
Fantastic First Long Course Meets of the Season
Over the weekend of Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th January, all squads were busy in action at two different long course competitions. The members of National Squad and a Regional Squad swimmer competed at the City of Sunderland New Year Meet and swimmers from Development, County, Junior Club, Club and Regional competed at the Rotherham Metro A & B Grade Meet in Sheffield.
Short Course Season Finishes in Style
Six of the National Squad swimmers qualified for 18 events in the Swim England Short Course Winter Meet over the weekend of the 14th-16th December at Ponds Forge in Sheffield. All of the qualifiers were swimming in the junior category which was for swimmers aged 15 years and under.
Busy weekend brings PBs, Medals and Records for YCBC Swimmers
Over the weekend of the 3rd and 4th of November, all training squads were in action competing at either the Swim England NERs in Sheffield or the Spenborough Bonfire Bash at Leeds. There were some fantastic performances with PBs and medals galore. Please see a summary of the competitions below:
YCBC announce Club Captains for forthcoming season
We are delighted to be able to announce that our Club Captains for this season are National Squad swimmers Ella Fisher and Jason Robson (pictured). Ella and Jason have swum with YCBC for several years and both have represented the Club at National level.
