Successful start to the new season

The 2018 Winter Yorkshire Championships was split into two short course competitions. The first competition took place on the 15th and 16th September for the 9 to 12 year old swimmers at Leeds. There were swimmers competing from the Development, County, Regional and National Squads. The second competition took place on the 20th and 21st October in Sheffield for swimmers aged 13 and over. There were swimmers from National and Club Squad competing over the weekend.

End of season success for all YCBC Swimmers

The end of season meet in swimming is seen as the grand finale of the year and the competition in which swimmers arrive in peak physical and mental condition ready to perform their best times. Over the last month during July and August, YCBC swimmers from all Squads have been busy competing at a number of meets. Please see the reports for each competition below.

Four medals and a GB record for Nathan at the Great Britain Deaf Swimming Championships

YCBC swimmer Nathan Carrington competed in 6 races at the Great Britain Deaf Swimming Championships Loughborough University. Nathan had a amazing meet winning a fantastic 3 golds and 1 silver medal and also broke the GB Deaf Record for Under 11 50m BR.
