National & Regional YCBC swimmers attend City of Leeds October Meet

National swimmers attend City of Sheffield Teaspoon Meet
Six of the National Squad swimmers competed for the first time this season at the City of Sheffield Teaspoon meet at Ponds Forge.
YCBC Squads in action for first time in 2021/22 season
Swimmers from all six training squads were in action for the first time in the 2021/2022 season competing at the City of Leeds September Sprints at the John Charles Centre.
Fast Start to the Qualifying Window for YCBC Swimmers
17 swimmers from the National Squad were competing at the City of Liverpool National Qualifier over the weekend. The meet was the first competition for the YCBC swimmers in the 2020 national qualifying window.
Over three weekends in February, the YCBC swimmers were in action at the Yorkshire Championships.
Two weekends took place at John Charles in Leeds with the other weekend at Ponds Forge in Sheffield. There were some excellent performances across the championships with over 150 best times recorded by the club and 23 medals were won.
Regional & National swimmers start 2020 at City of Sunderland New Year Meet.
The National and Regional Squad swimmers were in action over the weekend of the 11th & 12th January at the City of Sunderland New Year Meet. This presented the first long course racing of the season for the YCBC swimmers.
YCBC swimmers start the 2020 at the Leeds New Year meet
Several members from Club, County, Development, Junior Club and Regional Squads started the new decade competing at City of Leeds SC’s New Year meet. The meet was in long course format so for many swimmers this was their first taste of racing in a 50m pool.
YCBC swimmers in action at Swim England North East Short Course Regionals
During the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd of November, swimmers from National, Regional and Club Squad were in action competing at the Swim England North East Short Course Regionals in Sheffield.
Strong Start to the Short Course Season for YCBC Swimmers
The 2019 Winter Yorkshire Championships was split into two competitions and was the first short course meets of the season for the swimmers. The first competition was for the 9 to 12 year old swimmers and took place on the 28th and 29th September at Leeds. There were swimmers competing from the Development, County, Regional and National Squad. The second competition was for the swimmers aged 13 and over took place on the 19th and 20th October in Sheffield. There were swimmers from National, Regional and Club Squad competing over the weekend. Overall the club won 29 medals and registered a 70% PB rate.
YCBC head to City of Sheffield Teaspoon Meet
On Sunday 22nd September the swimmers from the National Squad were in action for the first time this season competing at the City of Sheffield Teaspoon Meet alongside a small number of the Regional Squad swimmers.
